Get Rid Of Baggy Eyes In A Few Simple Steps

Baggy eyes and dark circles around the eyes are something very familiar in these busy times. Still, you dont need expensive cosmetics or plastic surgery to get rid of this nuisance.

Here is how you should do if you want to get rid of baggy eyes, without breaking the bank. What we are about to show you is a home remedy that will cost you almost nothing at all.

Causes

There are many reasons why someone has baggy eyes and dark circles around the eyes. One cause is the genetic legacy, and some other people are simple born with that type of look.

When we grow old, we will experience more of baggy eyes and dark circles, thats a fact. If you dont get enough sleep on a regular basis, then this can also be the cause. Some allergies, or environmental cause can come into play any time. It is hard to just point fingers on this matter.

What happens?

Our skin is elastic due to a substance in the skin known as collagen. When we age, we tend to lose part of this substance and the skin gets thinner.

If right under the skin, we have fats, there is not a problem, but, on other areas, the skin gets darker.

This happens around the eyes, in particular. In this area, the skin is already thin, so, when it gets thinner, it also gets darker and the blood vessels begin to show.

Usually, a genetic disposition is to blame, but too much exposure to light, or smoking can contribute, as well.

Sleeping poorly is another known cause for baggy eyes. If you sleep in a room with not enough oxygen, you will more likely experience such a nuisance.

How can we treat it?

Even if you cannot get rid totally of baggy eyes, some remedies can help you reduce them, until they do not bother you so much.

- Proper hydration is a must; drink water and do not keep yourself thirsty.

- A restful night sleep can contribute a lot, so, if your physician recommends you, try some melatonin to sleep better.

- Get rid of cigarettes.

- A refrigerated eye pack on your face before going to sleep will do you good.

- Here is another natural, home made remedy: make a cup of tea with several teabags, then let the teabags dry a little; then take these teabags and hold them on your closed eyes for about a quarter of an hour.

- Some collagen tablets may help, but it is advisable to ask your physician what they think about such a treatment.

- Your doctor will be able to tell you what you need to do, if all the other remedies fail to show any signs of improvement.

Which are the donts

- Preparation H is out of the question as it can cause a lot of damage.

- Forget about expensive cosmetic creams as they are inefficient.

- Too much makeup to cover the eyes will not help you on the long term.

- Plastic surgery is not recommended, unless the problem is severe and it cannot be treated in a different manner.

It is almost impossible to eliminate the baggy eye and the dark circles around them for good. If you get them because of a genetic disposition, then you can just reduce them so they are not that visible.
