Great Beach Front Weddings

Practical Tips to Pull Off Beach Front Weddings

Let's face it. Beach front weddings can be very rich, remarkable and romantic but very windy, wet and warm, too. After all, you have to contend with a plenty of Mother Nature's beauty and beasts. Ever heard of seagulls swooping upon your wedding cake while you enjoy the sunset? Yes, that beauty and the beast!

Fortunately, you can fully enjoy your beach wedding with these wise tips. After all, it pays to be prepared on your most special day.

Weather Wise

Needless to say, when planning your beach wedding, you must find the friendliest months, weather-wise. You want a gorgeous setting to your outdoor wedding instead of being faced with inclement weather, which you could have anticipated by booking your wedding during hurricane-free season.

For most locations in the northern hemisphere, hurricane season is during the months of June 1 to November 30 so you will be well advised to steer clear of beach front weddings on these dates. However, even if you believe that a faraway hurricane will not affect the weather in your wedding locales, think again because it can disrupt weather patterns for many miles around.

Or better yet, look for beaches in areas below the hurricane belt. You can consider Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao for this purpose.

Location Wise

You have to check with the local authorities about beach permits. Although public beaches in most US states don't require permits to use for weddings, you might have to secure an authorization if you want to cordon off a portion of the beach for your wedding party.

Even if the hotel permits beach front weddings, you have to inquire about specific rules and regulations regarding property use. For example, ask if barbecues and freestanding bars are allowed especially when these are not provided by the hotel caterer.

And don't forget to take into account the presence of bugs, seagulls and various other ocean denizens. It is often necessary to provide protective netting for your cake as well as for your guests against insects and birds.

Dress Wise

Sure, you can have a flowing white gown on your beach wedding. You have to consider natural elements, however, that can affect the comfort and convenience levels of your dress.

For example, long trains are often not practical in beach front weddings since these can easily collect dirt. And try to wear heels that will not sink in the sand unless you are getting married on ground with the appropriate carpeting.

Package Wise

Since a beach wedding is a destination wedding, you can choose from many packages offered by resorts. These packages can range from the basic needs of beach weddings like the venue and the food to more deluxe packages in which honeymoon accommodations are included.

If you see one package within your budget albeit you want to trim down on a few unnecessary things, then don't be shy to ask for credit. With a little persuasion skills on your side, you ought to be able to convince resort management to be on your side!

Truly, beach front weddings can be very rich, remarkable and romantic without being wild, wet and wrong! It just takes wise planning on your part well in advance of the wedding day itself.
