Great Florida Bank - Supporting the Community
|
• Community development - A community suffers when some of its citizens have a hard time finding a safe place to live. Great Florida Bank works with organizations to help all citizens be able to have housing. By supporting non-profit and community organizations that are dedicated to providing housing for low income and distressed families, the bank helps to build a solid community foundation that gives back in many ways. • Education - It is a sad fact that low income sectors in the community often lag behind in education for one reason or another. Often what is offered to more privileged students in the community is not available for those considered low income. Great Florida Bank believes that education should always be a right, not a privilege. Along this line, the bank supports organizations that make sure that low income and minorities have the same opportunities for education as everyone else. • Event sponsorship - When an event is planned that is going to really help the community in a significant way, Great Florida Bank will often sponsor it. By sponsoring events that are usually run by non-profit charitable organizations, the bank benefits by having their name associated in a big way with the events. This is not the only consideration, however; strengthening the surrounding community benefits everyone, banks included. • Encouraging employees to give - Great Florida Bank encourages its employees to give to the community by keeping them informed of all of the ways that they can do this. When a bank realizes that its own success depends largely on the strength of the community that it serves, it is ensuring a place in that community for a very long time. Customers of Great Florida know that they can not only depend on this bank to see to their financial needs, but also to provide them support for their community concerns. About The Author: |
