Grilling Salmon: The Best Recipes

For grilling salmon, start by choosing filets of one inch each. You have two choices. If you want the salmon to gets seasoned while cooking, you can remove the skin and season each filet according to your heart's desire. But, if you are among those that prefer salmon seasoned afterwards, you can keep the skin on the filet. The best seasoning for salmon consists of salt, pepper or dill. Old Bay or another similar seasoning also work great for salmon grill. If you visit a supermarket, you will find that there is a large variety of fish seasoning, which means that you have a lot to choose from. Marinades are also available in stores, along with other fish seasoning. Be careful when you marinade the fish. It must not be kept for more than 15 minutes into the marinade, as the flesh may become mushy and not so tasty afterwards. Now, you can go on with preparing the grill. You need to set it to medium high, and, if you prefer, you can wrap it in aluminum foil, so you feel more comfortable with your grilling experience. Fish as salmon, tuna or shark are meaty and they do not need such precautions, but it is for your own peace of mind. The grill rack must be then oiled. You will need to stay next to the grilling rack for this one. Cook the salmon on one side, until you notice the color turning opaque, then turn it to let it cook on the other side. This will take about ten minutes, during which you need to keep the flames from touching the fish directly. Here is a good idea of sauce for grilled salmon. A half a cup of dry white wine must be brought to a simmer in a saucepan; add herb and garlic cream cheese, or Pub Cheese or Bousin, and stir the ingredients until they become melted. Taste to see if they need something else. See if there is enough cheese. In case you are not a wine fan, you can use milk. Here is another idea for preparing salmon. You can put each salmon filet in a rectangle of aluminum foil. Then, you can add on top lemon juice, salt, dill, pepper and garlic. After the seasoning is complete, you can fold the aluminum foil and then grill the salmon for ten minutes. This recipe works great with boiled potatoes.
