HP2600n: A Review For The Color Printer
|
Basic Specs of HP 2600n: 600x600 resolution in color or black and white 8 pages per minute in color/ in black and white Second paper drawer Four toner cartridges 16MB memory USB or Ethernet connection capabilities Mac and PC compatibility Retail price is $299.00 Disadvantages of the product: This product is meant for individuals who have a bulk of black and white printing and the occasional color printing requirements. It is not meant for printing high-res photographs of the family for framing or other purposes, thanks to its 600 dpi resolution and 16 MB memory. Photographs are delivered darker than actual and the details are sketchy. However, the standard color graphic like logos and black and white prints come out very well and of high quality. High-res photographs are helped by using special quality glossy paper, but that isn't something easily available at your stationary. The second downside is more for business users than homes. The printing speed is 8 pages per minute, which would be rather okay at home, but not so efficient in the office. Similarly, the cartridges are highly expensive going up to $90. However home users don't have to worry so much since cartridges last quite long when it comes to home usage. Office printing might need a replacement sooner. Is it worth the price? Surprisingly yes. Photo printing might not be great, but the print quality otherwise: both color and black and white is great and only at $299. Nothing gets cheaper than this. Only, it is ideal for home users or small businesses with little or no need for photograph printing. The machine is sturdy, cheap and offers very good network connectivity at $299. In a typical household, the toner cost don't amount to much - and need to be replaced every once a year. Lastly, if printing photographs is not your thing, then the 2600n is the thing for you. It offers you the flexibility and quality of laser printer with color and black and white at very, very reasonable costs. About The Author: |
