You may have heard about treatments called Japanese Straightening, Thermal Reconditioning, Straight Perm or Japanese Straight Perm. They are only different names about the same thing, the hair straightening process that was invented in Japan and traveled to the United States in order to have an incredible success among women. Here are some tips on choosing the right product and stylist. The process of straightening your hair through this technique takes about six hours at the beauty salon. During this time, your hair gets shampooed, heated under intense heat lamps, blown out, flat ironed, and then it goes through the entire process once again. But, at the end of this long process, I must tell you that your hair will look amazing, retexturized, smooth and sleek. Well, it is not a cheap job for doing your hair, it is about $750 and the price includes the tip and a bottle of shampoo and conditioner specially formulated for your hair. After this, you must avoid your hair making any contact with water or moisture for 72 hours. The best thing about Japanese hair straightening is that your hair does not look artificial or too dried out, even if it is treated with chemicals and heat for hours. In fact, it shines and it moves naturally and it looks great. You may get such a treatment for your hair about six months or once a year. If you want to straighten it once the roots grew a little, you must see your stylist again after six months. Your hair will still look great even that period of time and if you like a little volume to it at the roots, you may delay the next hair straightening session. Here are some tips about finding the best services on hair straightening. First, find out which straightening product the salon you frequent, uses for the process. There are two products made in Japan, called Liscio and Yuko. Both are great and there are not any negative comments about them. Second, try to establish if your stylist has enough experience with the process. Keep in mind that the best salons will show you before and after pictures of their work. Talk to your stylist about what other processes your hair has been subject to prior to your hair straightening. This will help you in the process of choosing the best shampoos and conditioners for your hair, but without spending a fortune on them. Some products are great for your hair in order to keep it healthy and protected from factors like the sun or moisturizing factors. A SPF spray and UV protective hair products are the best. For instance, do not dye your hair for two months after the straightening job. And then, when you want to dye it, choose a stylist that knows what he or she is doing. It is not worth to damage your hair, so make a little research before getting the job done. Check online the salons that perform such treatments and read carefully their credentials. Another thing that you must know is that the longer and curlier your hair is, the bigger the cost will be for the straightening treatment. So, if you want to get rid of your unruly, frizzy, or overly curly hair and you want to have instead a smooth, shiny and straight hair, go for it and do a Japanese hair straightening treatment. You will surely love it!
