Herpes Tongue - Tips for Prevention
|
Tip #1 - Only Use Your Own Utensils - If you are trying to avoid getting herpes tongue, one important thing you should be doing is making sure that you only use your own utensils. Don't share them with someone else. Use your own cup, fork, spoon, and straw. While this may not seem as a big day, you can get the herpes virus by sharing these items with someone who has it. Tip #2 - Avoid Kissing Someone with Herpes - You should also avoid kissing someone that has herpes, especially if they have blister in their mouth or around their mouth. If you want to make sure that you don't get it, then don't have oral contact with them while they are dealing with the outbreak. Tip #3 - Don't Use Other's Makeup - Avoid using someone else's makeup as well if you want to avoid herpes tongue. Especially avoid using lipstick or lip gloss that someone else has used. They can spread herpes if the other person that used them had it. So, just stick to using your own makeup instead of borrowing from someone else. Tip #4 - Use Condoms Even for Oral Sex - Condoms should be used if you are going to have oral sex with someone. You can get herpes tongue from someone who is dealing with genital herpes, so oral sex can be dangerous. If they have herpes, then use a condom or make sure that you abstain from the oral sex altogether until the breakout is healed up. Tip #5 - Limit Sexual Partners - Last of all, if you truly want to avoid getting herpes tongue, then you need to limit your sexual partners. The more partners you have, the more likely you are to contract something such as herpes. So, limit the partners and you'll have a smaller chance of contracting this problem. About The Author: |
