High Protein Pudding - The Basics

Instone is the company that has created the prototype high protein pudding. This product is just one of the many high protein products from Sylvester Stallon's Instone line. Some of the other products on this line include protein bars and high protein shake mixes.

Instone high protein pudding comes in a case of four containers. Each container contains one serving of pudding. All of the flavors available are sugar free, low carb, and low fat. The flavors that are currently available include: Chocolate, Vanilla, Banana, and Milk Chocolate. The specific ingredients and nutritional composition of the pudding will vary by flavor. These puddings generally sell for about $6 per four pack. You can save about 10 cents per pudding if you buy the pudding by the case.

The first high protein pudding that is offered by Instone is the Milk Chocolate protein pudding. One container of this product contains 100 calories with 15 of these calories coming from fat. Each serving also contains: less than 5 mg of cholesterol, 430mg of sodium, 440mg of potassium, 2 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of dietary fiber, and 20 grams of protein. This product does not contain trans fats, saturated fats, or sugars. The ingredients found in this product, by volume include: water, calcium caseinate, soy protein isolate, cocoa, soybean oil, sodium chloride, dipotassium phosophate, carrageenan, dextrose, tri-calcium phosphate, sucralose and acesulfame potassium.

The second high protein pudding that is offered by Instone is Vanilla Crme protein pudding. This pudding contains 100 calories per serving with 20 of these calories coming from fat. Each serving contains 2 grams of fat, less than 5mg of cholesterol, 430 mg of sodium, 430 mg of potassium, 2 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of dietary fiber, and 20 grams of protein. This product does not contain saturated fat, trans fat, or sugars. The ingredients contained in this product, by volume include: water, calcium caseinate, soy protein isolate, soybean oil, sodium chloride, dipotassium phosphate, artificial flavors, carrageenan, dextrose, tricalcium phosphate, sucralose, and acesulfame potassium.

Another company that produces a product that is called protein pudding is Sports Nutrition Pharmacy. Their product, Awesome Muscles Protein Pudding, comes as a powder mix that you will need to prepare in order to create a pudding. This product comes in a two pound canister that makes about 23 servings. Each of these servings contains: 110 calories, .5 grams of fat, 260mg of sodium, 11 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of dietary fiber, 4 grams of sugars, and 23 grams of protein. Each serving also contains 4 percent of the RDA of calcium and 10 percent of the RDA for iron.

These products may not be available in all local markets. However, you should be able to find them in sports nutrition stores or via online nutrition stores. The cost of these protein products is reasonable so trying the product won't be such a financial risk. If you don't like the product you can throw out the rest without losing more than a few dollars. If this is your first high protein product then you will probably want to start with a four pack of pudding instead of investing in a case of pudding.
