Homemade BBQ Sauce Can Be the Best Kind



There are many varieties of commercial barbeque sauce on the market made by a variety of companies. Some of it is good but of a lot of it tends to be mediocre at best. As a result, many people like to make their own homemade bbq sauce. There are scores of different homemade bbq sauce recipes on the Internet and in traditional cookbooks. These recipes come from all over the world since there are many countries that have some type of barbeque recipes. Most of these recipes are very easy to make and dont take but a few minutes. People can try different recipes until they find the one that is right for them.

Of course people can also use these homemade bbq sauce recipes as just a starting point and can change ingredients to get the exact taste they want. Other people prefer not to follow the recipes of others at all, but just do their own thing, creating the homemade bbq sauce that they want from scratch. This is usually the method preferred by the owners of the better barbeque restaurants. It is also the method used by most of the people who compete in the barbeque cook off competitions that are held all over the country. Visiting some of these competitions and trying some of the excellent barbeque produced may help people get an idea about the sauce they want to make.

Most homemade bbq sauce and bottled sauces are ketchup based with various other ingredients being added to spice up the sauces. However, this is not always the case. For example there are barbeque sauces that are mustard based and in many oriental kitchens the homemade bbq sauce will be made up with soy sauce and other ingredients. In fact the ingredients in the sauces can vary widely.

Some people like to use things like fresh onions and garlic while others prefer onion powder and garlic powder. Some like to sweeten their homemade bbq sauce with sugar, molasses, or honey whole others prefer to make the sauce have a tart taste. Still others will use fresh tomatoes, diced tomatoes, or even tomato juice as the base for their sauce rather than ketchup or mustard. The possibilities are literally endless and people are encouraged to experiment to find the combination that best suits their tastes and that of their friends and family. There are so many things that can be done that if someone wants to really be unique they can use a different sauce every time they grill.
