Everyone knows that the only way that things will change is actually to implement change. For the most part, change is good. However, there are those people that try to resist change and stick with the status quo. In the case of trying to lose weight, that means either not losing it or continuing to use fad diets that do nothing but provide a temporary fix. Yes, you’ll lose the weight in the beginning, but after you stop using that diet, the weight usually comes back. That’s what happens to the majority of people that go on a diet. If you continue to do this, not only will you continue to gain weight, you will also mess up your metabolism. This creates a cycle of quickly losing and gaining weight. You will have defeated the purpose you wanted to achieve with weight loss. It’s not a good idea to lose weight fast just like it’s not a good idea to lose weight. Your body is not designed for that. You will have a better chance at weight loss if you get rid of the fad diets. Also, you will not have to deal with constant mood swings. When you lose the weight with one of these diets, you’re content. Once the weight comes back, you’re disappointed. This cycle continues as long as you continue the cycle of losing and gaining weight. Making a change in your eating habits will help to stop this merry-go-round. You have to want to stop this cycle of going up and down. You cannot achieve permanent weight loss while you’re steadily losing and gaining weight within a short period of time. In order to lose weight, you must burn fat. The ability to do that will be compromised because of your refusal to stop the madness in regard to weight loss. You must make it a priority to intentionally change your eating habits. You must not deprive yourself of the vitamins and nutrients you need to lose weight and keep it off. You have to make this happen for yourself. No one else is going to do it for you. Of course, you can have the right support, but it’s mostly about your focus, discipline and willpower. You have to want to lose weight. You have to make the change to do it. It’s important that you take the focus from fad diets and place it on ways that you can implement permanent weight loss. You have to intentionally include things that will contribute to your overall health. You will also have to remove anything that is detrimental to your progress. You can have all the right things in place, but if you’re not acting on them, then it doesn’t serve the purpose.
