Your business name is important because it is the first thing your customers learn about you. Choose one with style and brains and you will notice the great effect it will have on people. It is quite hard to find a great name, right out of the blue. Some brainstorming would help, as what you have thought about so far seemed to be quite uninspired and right down ugly. It is not working like this and you must think of something before your competition gets clever than you. Here are some tips on how to make your business name attractive. They have been used and verified, so it is worth taking a shot. Use synonyms The first place to start when looking for names for your business is exactly the domain your business is about. Do not stick only to those few terms that are essential, try to think about as many synonyms as you can and make a pool of words that will serve you as a thesaurus. Be as open minded as you can, do not resume just at the object of your business, think of benefits for your customers or about the image that you want to imprint in their minds about your business. Now this is a way to get yourself started. In this first stage, you need to gather as many words as possible, so dont get stumbled because you dont like this or that. It is the number that is important now. After you have a strong thesaurus, you can get to the selection phase. Choose the ones you like, combine, see which sound nice in your ears and write them down. Specific terminology Terminology is very important when we are talking business. Still, you will not need some term that no one heard about and does not know what is all about. There are domains, however, like music and science, that have a certain terminology that rings well in customers ears. See what you can translate from that to your business name. Use a little bit of myth A good way to get a striking business name is to take a look at mythology. You will find there a lot of resonant, powerful names, that can get you on the right path. Of course, it is not ideal to just choose one randomly, but one that works best with the characteristics of your business. Search for idioms Idioms are, again, something that will stick like glue to your clients ears, in case you get them right. A little bit of research on the Internet will throw some light through the haze in your mind and you might just stumble upon a phrase that will change the course of your business. Try language variations If you found something, but they still do not sound well in your ears, some language variations may help. Maybe the English term does not sound so good, but what if the Spanish one has a more striking effect. You may use whatever fits best your business. Combinations are always good, so do not forget about them. Do not stick to one single term, if it does not work for you. Combine an idiom with a preferred mythological name and so on and so forth, until you reach to a satisfactory conclusion. It is worth spending some time on finding a great business name. If you find one that will always ring a bell in customers heads, then you made it. Good luck!
