How To Build Your Own Hot Sauna

Life is busy and too often we just dont seem to relax and allow our minds and bodys to rejuvenate. A hot sauna is the perfect way to do just that and here some easy to follow plans that will have your sauna up and running in no time.

If you plan to build from scratch there is no question that you are facing a very big project. You will have to find the right wood, cedar wood is preferred. You might even have to special order it. Then its time to buy it and be prepared for a big expense. Any mistakes you make cutting are going to add to your costs.

Your joints will all have to be tongue and groove to give the wood the needed strength and a proper seal which means you will have to buy the proper tool. Youll be continuously cutting as you attempt to assemble from scratch and even if you have some friends helping you can expect 2 to 3 weeks before you get to enjoy that sauna.

But there is a much better option! It costs less, it requires a lot less time, and it is far less stressful. Why not purchase a hot sauna kit? It will come with all the wood pre-cut to the length you need as well as every other part that you will need down to the last screw.

The kit will include the heater all you do is choose whether it will be electric, gas, or wood. It will also include the benches and the door. And of course the detailed instructions are there for you. All you need to do is follow them carefully and youll have your sauna up and running in no time. A day tops!

The traditional sauna design is either square or rectangle and sits on a concrete pad because it was thought that this type of sauna was a lot more durable.

However today these techniques are no longer used. Its been discovered that the corners of a square or rectangle loose a lot of heat and really dont benefit anyone. The only thing they accomplish is a waste of energy. It also takes a lot longer to heat up the sauna and it is more difficult to maintain the temperature.

A round sauna is a much better choice. In fact the barrel saunas are an excellent example of the perfect sauna. These saunas are made of cedar and are extremely durable and they waste very little energy and are much easier to heat and maintain the heat. And on top of all that they are beautiful, unique, and definitely get noticed. The barrel sauna is also available as a kit.

No matter which style of hot sauna you choose and no matter whether you decide to build from scratch or buy a kit, whats really important is that you get busy and get that sauna so that you and your family can enjoy the benefits. Relax and improve your overall health!
