How To Find The Best Trout Bait

When thinking about trout bait, Im thinking about which one is the best, and my searches are yet to be over. For those that like to fish only stocked trout, there are many solutions, like corn, cheese or marshmallows. How do you think a trout from the wild would like those? I dont think it will like such foods very much, as they are not from its natural environment. The thing is that stocked trout is bred so they can be then released in order for people to catch them. Even if, for me, the idea of practicing fishing this way is kind of a falsified experience, once in a while, I do the same thing, so I am not the right fisherman to go on ranting about how fishing stocked trout is not really fishing trout.

There are also other baits that the stocked trout love. From the synthetic baits they are sold in the store, the Berkley Powerbait is the one that they love best. It is quite incredible to see how much the fish is crazy about this bait, as you cannot simply go wrong with this product when fishing stocked trout. It really makes me wonder why they do not feed the trout with such products, if they love it so much. It is a joke, of course! The truth is that synthetic baits are a winner when it comes to fishing stocked trout.

But let me get to the best trout bait ever, or at least that I have found so far. I am talking about live baits! There is nothing better than a worm or a maggot that you should feed to the trout, attached on your hook, of course! Many seasoned fishermen will tell you the same thing: there is no better bait than the one created by nature itself. This is a little trick I use when fishing trout: I hang a live worm on a set of gang hooks, then I let it drifting down on the course of a flowing river. It is the best way to catch trout, no denial about it.

As I already mentioned, you can use whichever of these baits you like best or you think it is effective. But, in my opinion, I still think that the traditional way of fishing with worms as baits, is still the best there is.
