Getting joint ventures is one way to earn quick money online. The concept although easy is not so simple to implement. This is because getting down to the nitty gritty's requires us to correspond and communicate with others and this is where tactful replies, and tactics help. Here are a couple of do's and don't that could help your business and make more money! Dont's: 1. Do not come across as hype. If your JV partner is worth his salt, chances are they've been in the industry long enough to know the ins and outs of the game. When they come across a person using "this will cure cancer", "get 1 million hits to your website tool" hype instead of facts and concrete proof, it will turn off the good JV partners quicker then you can blink. 2. Do not address a problem the JV partner has directly. This requires some tact. Although writing to someone to tell them that you have a solution to a problem that their product or website might sound like a good idea, how we approach or broach the subject is important. The problem solution method does work, but, doing it wrong will simply kill off the JV because others will see through this as a "new person on the block" trying too hard, creating a mountain out of a mole hill, worse an insult to their business or product, and switch off from further communication from you. Do's: 1. Let the joint venture partner feel that he would gain more out of the deal. At least in the short term, the immediate instant benefits, let them feel that they will not lose out if they work with you. A smart JV partner does not want long term promises, or something that will happen 3 years later. Provide the immediate benefits, and we'll look at long term benefits once the performance has been established early on. 2. Woo the good JV partner. Let people feel important. If we were to give unrequested-for criticism, always remember to complement then build, not critisize and tear down (even if we don't mean it!). If someone were to make a change, acknowledging indirectly that you were correct and implement your solution, what would the beneficial results be. Keep it clean and sharp. Speak less in absolute terms because this brings out the devils advocate in others. You say "good", others are inclined to say, its "not that good..." Let them feel it their idea. Example, "That's a great product, I wonder if we were to add this new feature in, would it, you think improve the distance and trajectory of the golf ball flight, and more sales perhaps...?" Instead of,"This product is not doing well, I think we need to add this new feature in otherwise no one will buy it" Of course, if you're the boss or an authority speaking to a congregation that already respects you, you could say anything you like and it would work. But if you're wooing a potential client or partner to join you, then tact and respect for the other person will go a long way to sealing a profitable venture. Develop a heighted awareness of the dynamics of JV communications will hopefully seal for yourself a great joint venture!
