Step no. 1Count calories by keeping a log. Keep a log of everything you eat. Include drinks and snacks, even candy and smaller items such that handful of nuts you took out of the peanut jar. Be serious and keep track of everything if you want to learn how to get skinny the right way. Be reasonable and don't keep a log on the one day you're skimping on food. If you must, keep track for several days for a better idea of what you eat daily. Once you've logged your daily food. Step no. 2Take your log and determine how many calories are in each item you ate. This will give you an idea of how many calories you are consuming daily. This will give you the first goal. Look over your list of food eaten and see where you can take out an item or a few items to reduce your calorie intake by 500 calories. It may just be that morning shake or it could be a few 100 calorie items that you decide to remove. Look over your daily foods again and see if there isn't a way to improve your meals. Can you be eating healthier?
