How To Put Videos On PSP - The Simple Way To Do It

You may have thought that putting videos on PSP was not made such an easy task as it should have been. Anyhow, there is a way to simplify this procedure and you will learn about it in the following article. So, this is the simple way to put videos on PSP.

The PSP's default memory card is just 32Mb, which is far too little to hold on it large videos. First, you will need a bigger memory card in order to be able to watch larger files. The ideal memory card should be at least 512 Mb so you can put videos on your PSP.

Purchasing a memory card is not hard to do. Just go visit sites as Amazon.com and search for a product in the electronics category. The best thing about these memory cards is that they are not very expensive. For instance, a SanDisk SDMSPD-512A10 512Mb Pro Duo memory stick does not cost more than 25 dollars. You may need a PSP USB data cable for your device, in case you do not have a Sony PSP. You can buy one from the same source, Amazon.com.

If you do not want to wait forever while using the internet, go for fast connections, as dialup is not a really viable solution. The method we are about to tell you about works great for Mac and PC users alike.

Here is how you do it. Turn off the PSP and use the USB cable you bought to make the connection between the PSP and the computer. After that, turn off the PSP and go in the Settings menu to the USB Connection. You must press the X button and your PSP will appear on the computer screen as an untitled volume. Go there and open the folder named PSP which has four other folders, Games, Music, Savedata and Photo. What you need to do is to make a new folder, MP_ROOT, but not in the PSP folder or its sub folders. Here, in the MP_ROOT folder, make a new sub folder called 100MNV01. Here you will stock your MP4 videos along with their thumbnail files. Thumbnail files have a THM extension.

The next step is to start downloading MP4 videos from the internet. There are many sites that you can choose from, so there is no need to worry about not finding what you are looking for. Wait for the downloads to finish on to your PSP, then go to the Video menu, at the option Memory Stick, where the thumbnails for the videos must appear. There are four screen display modes to choose from. Use the triangle button to choose your favorite, after you have clicked the thumbnail. That's it, this is the simple way to put videos on your PSP!
