Dogs also have a disposition for getting worms. Such parasites, like roundworms, appear many times in little puppies. You can recognize the symptoms if the puppy has diarrhea, anemia or a pot belly. If the worms are left untreated, your puppy may develop even more serious conditions, in case the offenders travel through the dogs body, until they reach the lungs where they can start a case of pneumonia. Worms can be prevented through good diet and hygiene. Take care of the puppys bedding, and give it some worm medicine that will help eliminate them. Fortunately, even if dogs are more likely to get certain diseases, exactly these diseases can be fought against efficiently. This is because vaccinations are developed all the times, and you can get your dog to the vet to have it immunized against some really bad ailments. You can immunize your dog against rabies, canine distemper and other viruses that can really affect your dogs health. Some vaccines work temporarily, while others can immunize the dog for the rest of its life. You can take care of your dog if you just know what you do.
