How You Too Can Delete Trojan Virus Using Freeware Tools

The first and most obvious way is to use currently installed antivirus program. It’s not that rare for antivirus software to let Trojan virus into the system. Surprisingly enough, while real-time protection sometimes fails, the scanning engine is capable of detecting and quarantining Trojans.

Unfortunately, in many cases once the Trojan virus is in, it takes over installed antivirus and doesn’t let it load its scanning engine module. In this case you can attempt to download a free Trojan remover. Sounds too good to be true, but there’s a bunch of reputable security software vendors that provide either feature-limited editions of their programs or trial versions. Both are good to use as scanners. For your reference, here’s a short list of manufacturers that offer free programs to delete trojan virus: Malwarebyte’s (anti-malware), EMSISOFT (a-squared anti-malware), SUPERAntiSpyware, Lavasoft (Ad-Aware). In addition, Sunbelt offers a trial version of its CounterSpy, and Spyware Detector provides its software for free testing for one month. Finally, there’s SpyBot Search & Destroy, an excellent freeware application that saved many Windows users from frustration.

But what to do if your system is corrupt and doesn’t let a new software to install? This is where many PC owners feel at a loss. However, if Internet is still accessible, nothing should stop you from checking out a couple of free online virus scanners. I just can’t stress enough how important it is to keep a list of these online services for quick reference. Almost any major manufacturer of antivirus and antimalware applications provide some sort of online scanner. McAfee, Norton, Bit Defender, Panda, a-squared, Trend Micro are available everywhere. All it takes to initiate a scan is to launch Internet Explorer (some services support Mozilla Firefox as well), accept a license agreement, and wait for definitions to download. Web scanners are convenient and easy to use, they let you choose what to scan, the whole system or a separate folder. Despite the seemingly simplistic look, online virus scan uses same algorithms as its desktop counterparts, relies on latest definitions (sometimes not yet available to users of desktop software) and is a powerful Trojan remover. However, it makes sense to run a scan twice in case anything malicious is detected.

Only when the above methods fail to erase the infection, seek help on tech forums, or ask the local computer repair service how to delete trojan virus.
