How a Workout Partner Can Help Increase Your Results With P90X
|
The P90X system is designed to have you working on every muscle group—chest and back; shoulders and arms; legs and back; chest, shoulders and triceps; back and biceps; abs; plus doing tough cardio and kenpo workouts as well as plyometrics, stretches, and core synergistic exercises. It's impossible for anyone to be totally proficient in every one of these areas. Except for maybe your workout leader, Tony Horton. This is another way a training partner can help with the P90X—he or she can complement your strengths and vice-versa—maybe helping to figure out a move, a stretch, or a chin-up that might just be evading your every try. A workout partner may also be able to help you push yourself harder, helping you to reach new heights that you might not be able to reach on your own. Working out is tough and exercise partners can make the whole fitness experience a lot more fun. Never underestimate the mental health that can be gained by two people committed to the same goal—like the P90X—sweating together, talking together, or laughing together. You can support each other through all the ups and downs you have each day. Everyone has their good and bad days with the P90X program just like you would with any other type of training program. After all, a 90 day commitment is not unlike training for a marathon. The P90X support staff and fitness experts are always going to be there to help, as are other people you can converse with online who are in the throes of the same physical work. These two things are a great help to anyone who is completing the program. But none of these people can be right there with you that minute—when the TV is on and your arms and legs are tiring—or you just aren't getting quite the right angle on a routine. So make your decision to do the P90X. Then invite over somebody to work out with you. Ask a friend to be your P90X workout partner. You can even find a workout partner by advertising on social networking sites. The P90X is also the topic on lots of fitness forums—check out if anyone lives in the same city and wants a workout partner. Take the first step to getting in the best shape you life with the P90X. Then track down a workout partner. Let's face it—you won't want to let a friend down. And that's a tremendous motivational factor!
