How does Neem work for me?



Basically Neem is really good at killing bugs, and not just the tiny microscopic bugs like bacteria and viruses, Neem hits the larger ones too like mozzies and lice. Bugs and diseases that eat our scrummy veggies in the garden before we can get to them ourselves, beware of Neem! Neem has been used in Herbal medicine for donkey’s years. One Neem tree in the centre of the village provided everyone with protection from a startlingly wide array of problems. In warm climes, its insecticidal property would go a longer way in helping reduce populations of malaria carrying mosquitos. Use Neem in summer for this same purpose to prevent itchy bites, or the transmission of Ross River virus.

It is used for external applications in acne remedy and skin diseases. Neem extracts possess antidiabetic, antibacterial and antiviral properties. The tree stem, root and bark possess astringent, tonic and antiperiodic properties. The bark is beneficial in fever and useful in cutaneous diseases. Neem's traditional use is based on its detoxifying benefits that help maintain healthy circulatory, digestive, respiratory and urinary systems. It is used for external applications in skin diseases. All parts of the plant yield b-sitosterol.

Neem or Azadirachta Indica, popularly known as margosa is a large, evergreen tree. Neem has been used as a tonic and astringent that heartens wound healing. Neem or Azadirachta Indica traditionally being used because of its detoxifying benefits that help protects healthy circulatory, digestive, respiratory and urinary systems of the body.

• A facemask of egg white and honey gently removes the tan from your face.

• Mix oats with honey, yogurt and ground almonds. This is applying in your face leave it for ten minutes and washes with lukewarm water.

• Take 1/3-cup cocoa, three teaspoons of heavy cream, 1/3-cup ripe papaya, 1/4-cup honey and three teaspoons of oatmeal powder. This is applying in your face leave it for ten minutes and washes with lukewarm water. This is best for oily skin

• For oily skin, apply a mixture of grapes, lemon and egg white. Just leave it for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water. While lemon acts as a natural cleanser, grapes will soften your skin and egg whites will tighten it. Don’t be alarmed if your skin tingles.

• Cut the lemon and rub the wedge all over your face. Just leave it for 15 minutes, then rinse off with cold water. Your face is refreshing. Avoid doing this if you have dry skin.
