How to Approach a Girl - It doesn't have to be Difficult

Some young men and even adult men don't have any idea how to approach a girl. They may either blow it off all together or they go up to her with some ridiculous line that gives a bad impression from the very start. You want to approach her in a non threatening way so that she feels comfortable. Always give a girl some space so that she doesn't feel backed into a corner.


Even if you are nervous, you should smile as you approach a girl. That will help you to both feel more comfortable. A smile also gives her the impression that you are confident in yourself. At the same time you need to be making eye contact with her. Make sure your eyes aren't wondering to another part of the anatomy or she will immediately be turned off before you even get to say hello.


Have something in mind to say to her once you do approach her. Make it something that she won't be caught off guard about. You can ask her if she is enjoying her evening, if she would like a drink, or even to dance. It all depends on where you happen to see her at. A joke that isn't sexual in content or discriminatory in any manner can also be a great way to strike up a conversation.


You want to appear very natural with how you approach a girl. If you sound too rehearsed or robotic she will pick up on it. Take the time to really listen to her as that is a key quality that most women look for in a guy. Don't turn it into 20 questions but ask her questions that allow her to share some basic information with you.


Make sure you are well groomed when you approach a girl as well. Don't try to talk with her after playing sports or working out at the gym. That smell of sweat on your body is going to be a major turnoff. It also won't allow you a good chance of being able to impress her later on.


Pay close attention to your body language as well. Women don't like to see a cocky guy that has smooth moves approaching them. For example if you lean in too closely to her or place your arm on the back of her chair as you sit beside her she will be on the defense from the get go.


It can take some practice when it comes to how to approach a girl to feel comfortable doing it. Be prepared for some rejection though but don't take it too personally. There are many reasons why a girl may not be interested and most of them won't have anything to do with you. She may be dating someone or have her eye on someone already. The practice will pay off though when you eventually find the right girl.
