Ribs seem to bring about thoughts or nice summer picnics and the wonderful smells wafting through the kitchen or through the backyard. Of course while you can cook these ribs o the grill, you'll find that they can be cooked in an oven as well if you want to cook them during the winter months or even on a rainy day. If you are not sure how to cook ribs, you'll find that doing them in an oven is actually quite simple. So, here are a few tips to help you learn how to cook ribs that will definitely be tasty in the end. Make Sure to Start Out with PlentyFirst of all, if you want to know how to cook ribs, you'll want to make sure that you start out with plenty of ribs with anyone. Make sure that you account for the fat and bone that is on the ribs. So, you may need to figure about a pound of ribs per person that you are cooking for so that everyone gets enough to eat when you cook up the ribs. Season the Ribs or Marinate ThemWhen it comes to how to cook ribs, you'll want to either season them or marinate them to your own taste. You can marinate them in some barbeque sauce or a favorite marinade for a couple hours. Of course you don't have to marinate them either, but you can simply add some garlic, salt, tenderizer, and a bit of pepper to them for a great taste as well. Cover Your Baking Pan with FoilIf you want to minimize the mess when it comes to how to cook ribs, you'll want to make sure that you take the pan that you are going to use and cover it with foil. Make sure that you use plenty of foil and leave enough so you can actually fold the edges and cover the ribs while they are cooking as well. Also, make sure that you don't stack the ribs, but use a pan that is large enough to allow them to lay in just one layer. Add a Bit of WaterMake sure that you add a bit of water to the pan as well when you want to know how to cook ribs. When you have just a bit of water, you'll be able to steam the ribs and this will help to keep the pan from burning and it will help you to make sure that your ribs are very tender and moist when they are done as well. Bake the RibsNow you are ready to bake the ribs. Make sure that you preheat the oven to about 325 and then cook them for an hour while they are all covered up. Then you'll want to uncover them and cook them for about 15 minutes at 375. When they are done, take them out, allow them to cool a bit, and then enjoy.
