You want to make sure that you are letting the person feel comfortable that you are talking to as well as keep yourself cool too. Looking a person in the eye is going to give the feeling confidence and trust.

When you are speaking to one person, you need to sit or stand up straight and focus. You want your full concentration to be on what you are saying and the person that you are talking to. It makes no difference if you are talking business or something personal you have to keep good stance so that you are feeling confident and know what you want to say. The next thing that you can do is thinking about what you have to say. You want to choose your words and have them come out clearly.

Remember to have personality when you speak. You want to keep the person interested in what you have to say and you need to zone in on them and their eyes. Making good eye contact will be a sign that you are serious about what you are saying and that you know and understand what you are talking about.

If you are speaking to two or more people, this is no time to lose your eye contact. You need to make a point to look at every person in the eyes and make one on one contact with them. This will give off the feeling of warmth and that you are truly focusing in on them and that it is important to you that they are there.
