Ideas for Using Hurricane Vases as CenterpiecesHurricane vases are wonderful in and of themselves, but they can make especially beautiful centerpieces. The different ways to use them as centerpieces are numerous, and simply coming up with ideas on how to display them as centerpieces can be fun. Here are a few ideas for using these kinds of vases as centerpieces. 1. Holiday Centerpiece - Place a hurricane vase inside of a Christmas wreath, fill it with Christmas candy or red and green decorative marbles, and you have a beautiful centerpiece. You can have the vase and what is inside of it reflect the style of the wreath, also. If your wreath is all green, then you could put a red vase inside of it, filled with green decorative marbles or individual candies wrapped in green foil. If your wreath has more of the old fashioned Christmas colors in it, such as dark reds, deep greens, and gold, then your vase could be clear, and filled with gold-foil wrapped individual candies. You could even make it more whimsical; if the wreath has little reindeer and elves on it, then you could put a cute stuffed reindeer inside the vase with his paws and head looking like they are peeking out. For an Easter centerpiece, you could make a wreath of Easter lilies and Baby's Breaths, put a vase inside that is a nice pastel color, and fill it with little foil-wrapped chocolate Easter eggs. For Thanksgiving, you could use a wreath made of sticks and autumn leaves, put the vase in the middle, and fill the vase with little pumpkins that you have decorated with glitter. As you can see, there are so many possibilities that half the fun will be dreaming them up. 2. Party Centerpieces - If you are having a party, you can use hurricane vases as centerpieces, and customize them to the theme of your party. Perhaps you are having a good old-fashioned pool party. In this case, you could place colored water in the vases, place floating flowers in the water, and surround the vases with different colored little towels. This will add a very festive touch to the atmosphere of the party. Or, you may be having an outdoor barbecue party. Place a couple of the vases on an outdoor picnic table, fill them with the decorative items of your choice, including candy if you wish, and surround them with some summer fruit, real or wax! For a more formal indoor dinner party, you can place the vase inside of a decorative bowl, fill it with small, sparkling crystals, and then place an elegant candle in the middle of the crystals. This is an instant hit at parties, is easy to create, and adds a wonderful touch of elegance. For a more informal buffet-type indoor party, the centerpiece could be the vase filled with brightly colored decorative marbles, surrounded by a garland of daisies or morning glories. Consider the party theme, and create your centerpiece accordingly. Your guests will be impressed when they find out that you made it yourself! 3. Gift centerpieces - As a gift, centerpieces with hurricane vases inside can be very thoughtful. Remember, however, to not bring this type of centerpiece gift to a party expecting someone to use it right away. To assume that someone will use your centerpiece for the particular party you are attending is not in good taste. The person having the party already has their decorations! The key is to keep in mind what type of parties this person has, what type of décor is in this person's home, and this person's taste before you create a centerpiece for him or her that contains a hurricane vase. And please, make it yourself...it means so much more! Joanne is an author of Decorz.com. If you're looking for more vases decor ideas for your home visit http://www.decorz.com. Tags: Rating:
