Here are some tips that can help you in your endeavor. They are easy to understand and apply and you will be improving your self esteem in no time.
1. First tip is to take care of the progress that you do. Lets say you decided to change something about you. Notice how others see this change; if all is good, and you progress, than it is advisable to continue on that path.
2. Another tip would be to feel good in your own skin. Even if you are not already there, meaning a strong person, as you so desire, there is no reason to not feel good about you along the way.
3. You need to have clear, in your mind, what you want to obtain from interacting with others. Evaluate how they will react to your ideas, and develop a different strategy for each person.
4. If you manage to let others understand what you want from them, it will be easier to obtain that certain something. Forget about guessing, be decisive.
5. Everybody likes to be considered important in the eyes of the others. If you succeed in making them believe that, you are a winner.
6. Be a hands on individual. When you meet someone, shake their hand and look them in the eyes. You will show that you know how to be open and honest and they will appreciate that.
7. In your interactions with the others, you need to be a good listener. They will appreciate if you do that, and especially if you remember their name and use it in your conversations.
8. Your face can express a lot. If you smile, if you show that you are aware of what the other are saying, if you approve them by nodding and so on, they will like you even more.
9. When someone talks to you about their problems, be attentive and caring. If you can, suggest solutions, but, if you dont, this does not mean that you should be dismissive. Just show empathy.
10. The rules of a good conversation state that you must stay focused on what the other person is saying. If you think only about yourself, you will get nothing in return, in the end.
There are people with which you will feel a connection, while others may leave you untouched. It is not necessary to get along with absolutely everyone; this is hardly possible. But, if you apply these rules and you see how the other person reacts, you will know where you stand.
These tips are just the beginning for improving self esteem. This does not mean that you cannot do a lot more. Keep yourself informed on the subject and you will do just fine if you apply simple guidelines that can help you get by.
You will notice how the others will appreciate you more and more for your pleasant personality. Your family will feel good around you and you will get a lot of good things in return. Also, you will enjoy greater success in all the relationships that you want to build.
