Inspirational Graduation Speeches
|
Writing a delivering a speech is a very rewarding and challenging thing to do. In particular for graduation and inspirational graduation speeches can add greatly to the occasion. Although inspirational speeches may be harder to successfully deliver, the rewards seem higher for both the speaker and the audience. There are a number of sources of help and lots of tips and techniques available. With practice you may well be able to become an inspirational speaker. We can all benefit from an inspirational speaker who motivates us to take action, embrace change or feel particularly positive. I have been to a number of occasions where the speaker inspired me to think again about business ideas. However I did choose to attend the event. I was receptive to the speakers comments and I did generally hear the content I was expecting. Although for a graduation the audience generally know what to expect, you may need to put some extra work into creating content that the graduation audience can be inspired by. I think it is worthwhile spending some time thinking through what would inspire the audience. First off it is important to define who the audience are. If they are a kindergarten, high school or college audience they will have different requirements. Perhaps a kindergarten will love to hear how ready the kids are to move up to the next level in their education. For a high school they may be inspired to hear how exciting the challenges of college are. For a college audience they may be inspired t hear about the big opportunities that are in front of the graduates. Generally there are many great topics which make an inspirational speech. Talking about the power within you, the outstanding opportunities that await, the benefits of doing a job you are passionate about, the benefits of taking responsibility for yourself and your future, and the benefits of thinking big, for example, can be very inspiring. Clearly to deliver an inspirational speech requires a great topic that suit’s the audience. Once you have your topic you need to write and the deliver the speech effectively. The language you use will require to be positive and active. You need to inspire the audience with your oratory style, not send them to sleep. Using positive words will make a difference. Also if the speech flows well then you will be able to deliver the speech with a smooth style. Delivering the speech requires a strong, positive speaker. Standing tall at the podium, being well dressed and speaking out loud and clear will help you captivate the audience. Speaking on a topic that you are passionate about will help too. All of us need help at times. There are lots of great inspirational speeches to learn from. Many of them are freely available online to view on YouTube and to read through the text. I do love the Steve Jobs graduation speech. Looking at these great speeches will help you with your own speech. I hope you get the chance to deliver inspirational graduation speeches.
