Is It A Smart Decision To Join The Network Marketing Industry?
|
Network Marketing can be a great profession to join, and it can be a huge source of pain and frustration, too. I want you to understand both the positives and negatives should you decide to join the MLM business and attack it head on with all of your effort. I have been actively involved in the Network Marketing profession since mid 2002, and I failed pretty horribly at it right up until 2007. I wasn't just a failure in every aspect of my business, but I managed to lose most of my friends in the process of shamelessly promoting my businesses again and again to my loved ones. If you just glance at the surface of that situation, you might think that I should have quit. (In fact, a lot of well intentioned people encouraged me to.) However, looking at my life style now and what I've been able to accomplish proves that it was the right decision to stay in the MLM industry. So what is it about my life that allows me to justify continuing in the Network Marketing profession after so much catastrophic failure? Let me compare my current situation to USA average income statistics. I never graduated from college. In fact, I went to one year of college and then I decided I wanted to be an entrepreneur and I just quit. The average household income for someone who's a high school graduate without a college degree in the USA is $25,900 per year. At the same time the average household income for someone with a professional degree is $109,600. While I certainly am not willing to make any income claims, I'll say that I currently make way more than anyone I know who works in the professional arena. So should you look at how well I've done and go out and join a random MLM company? Let me share my personal views with you. You might join a MLM company and fail pretty horribly for a few years before you start to see any kind of meaningful results. However, statistics show that for those who stick with one MLM company for 10 years or more, you have a dramatically higher chance of earning a six figure income than almost every profession in the USA. So once again, are you going to treat your business like a professional? Or are you just trying to get rich quick?
