Jacuzzi's have been around for many years and has only grown in popularity. Throughout the years the technology behind Jacuzzi systems has changed dramatically from the old two jet pump days. Presently Jacuzzi systems offer a wide range of jet functions from massage to therapeutic. Full package models now have built in LCD TV screens, DVD players, and built in speakers. Jacuzzis are very high end baths that can cost from 700 dollars to 20 thousand. Needless to say Jacuzzis are very high priced products that are bought for the long term. Meaning once they are purchased and installed they will most likely never be replaced by a newer model.

Purchasing a new Jacuzzi is not a one day job. Prior to any shopping, ask yourself what do you really need from a Jacuzzi? How many people will be using one? How often? What kind of Jacuzzi would you enjoy? What purpose will it serve? For example if you have a large family or if you know many people will be using the Jacuzzi buy the right one to accommodate everybody. There are models that can support up to 8 persons; however they are much more expensive. If you are an avid whirlpooler, hot tuber, and jacuzzier, then you are already aware of the feature you like. I would recommend all seldom users to do some research and to learn about the basics and differences between different types of jets.

Jacuzzi's like other high priced equipment have options to include extra accessories. TV's and DVD players are among the highest feature that is included in Jacuzzi's. A growing feature in the Jacuzzi industry is a CD player package combined with waterproof speakers and a remote. This is almost a perfect accompaniment to go along with any outdoor Jacuzzi. Along with the CD player package, outdoor built in lighting packages are available. I found these to actually be very useful when fumbling in the night looking for CD's, towels or the remote. If you are on a budget but still want to enjoy the comfort of a CD player and night lighting you can simply install them yourself in the backyard. String lights and an outdoor CD changer can usually do the trick.

The installation process concerning Jacuzzis is not an easy job. Jacuzzi's often require external power sources such as a breaker box to power the tub and the heater. The external power source is quite expensive and the installation is even worse. If a specialist a hired be prepared to pay somewhere between 1000 to 2000 dollars. This would include the parts, and labor required for installing. There are a few Jacuzzi's that require large amounts of cement to complete the installation process. Not only will you have to shell out additional cash for the cement, time is also needed to strip away the grass and make room for the Jacuzzi. Prices for this final step of installation will cost approximately 1300 dollars. As you can see outdoor Jacuzzi's are very expensive units, be prepared to pay a premium for additional costs.

Indoor Jacuzzi tubs are very cheap compared to outdoor Jacuzzi tubs; however the experience is not quite the same. Indoor Jacuzzis or hot tubs are cheaper and do not require high prices for installation. Indoor tubs require filling, a good hot water source, routine cleaning as well as maintenance. Because there are no built in heaters, the hot water source needs to be able to fill the bath tub. Plan ahead and make sure you have a sufficient water heater for the Jacuzzi prior to your purchase.

When purchasing an indoor or outdoor Jacuzzi, exercise patience. From the day that the Jacuzzi is purchased, be prepared to wait 2 or 3 more weeks for complete installation. The key to choosing the correct Jacuzzi is being able to weed out what you do not need. This means being more selective when comparing different models and knowing what kind of features will satisfy your needs. If you are still deciding about which Jacuzzi to purchase, consider a sauna, hot tub, or even a whirlpool.
