Kate Hill - A Literary Twist on Vampires
|
Kate Hill has taken a different twist on vampire stories. When asked, she said that she thinks of them not as evil undead humans, but more like a different intelligent species altogether. She has developed complex characters in her vampire series books that, like humans, have their trials and tribulations. They also love, hate, make mistakes, and experience triumphs, just like humans. Most of her main characters are, however, vampires, so they have powers of the mind and body that humans don't have. What is wonderful about these characters, though, is that Kate Hill has made them beings that the reader can identify with. Kate Hill is a young New Englander who has just ventured into her thirties and has been writing already for years. She has had a long fascination with vampire lore, as well as anything medieval or Viking. Though she enjoyed reading vampire stories, she wanted to put her own spin on how these mythical beings lived. Eventually she started writing stories about vampires that showed them in a new and refreshing light, and this turned into writing novels. One of her most popular novels is The Darkness Therein, which she followed with the equally popular sequel The Immaculate. Kate Hill publishes through her online company "Anxiety Publications", through which she runs her two online ezines. Her novels have gone from being sold as e-books to being paper-published. She continues to enjoy success as a writer, and plans on keeping up with it for a very long time. Readers are anxiously awaiting the next novel that will be sequel to The Darkness Therein and The Immaculate, and Ms. Hill is sure to deliver the entertainment that they've come to expect from her. Readers can only speculate on what dark adventures and romances she will take them through next time. About The Author: |
