There are several different side effects that some men have felt when they were taking Viagra to treat erectile dysfunction. Quite a few men have noticed that they deal with headaches and flushing was pretty common as well. Some of the other side effects that were not quite as common, but still not serious, include diarrhea, stomach upset, dizziness, rash, and nasal congestion. Most men don’t end up dealing with these side effects, but they can occur, so you need to be familiar with them. Also, most of the time men who are higher doses of the drug are more likely to end up dealing with the side effects than men who are on smaller doses of Viagra.

Complications that Need Attention

While most of the side effects that come with Viagra are not all that serious, there are some complications that need immediate attention. So, if you are planning on taking Viagra, you need to be aware of these complications in case they ever occur to you. One complication that needs attention is a urinary tract infection. Some men develop these infections when taking Viagra, and while they are not usually life threatening, it is important that you let your doctor know if you think you may have one. They can treat it with antibiotics and help you recover faster if you let them know about the problem. Another complication that can occur is abnormal vision problems. Some men have noticed that their vision is blurry, some have dealt with color tinges, and some have even gone almost blind after taking the drug. If you ever deal with eye problems when you take Viagra, then you need to seek help immediately.

Priapism can also occur as a complication when men take Viagra. This is a painful or prolonged erection that lasts for more than four hours. If you ever have an erection that lasts for more than four hours, immediate medical attention should be sought. Also, if you ever deal with chest pains or other heart attack symptoms when you are taking Viagra, you need to get medial help as soon as possible.

So, as you can see, there are several different side effect and complications that can occur. However, the good news is that most of the time, men don’t suffer from these problems. It is important that you are aware of the complications that occur so that you can get medical help when you need it. So, remember, before you take Viagra, make sure that you are aware of all the side effects and complications in case you ever end up dealing with these problems yourself.
