Ladder golf has become a popular game with families, and one of the best things about the game is that it can be played almost anywhere. The game actually originated in camping sites in the United States, although exactly who invented it is still in question. The game is simple and easy to learn, and you don't need a lot of room to play it. This is one of the reasons that it is so popular for families to play while they are camping. It doesn't have to be just for camping, however; it can be played in the backyard or front yard, or at outdoor parties.

One of the great things about ladder golf is that it can be played by and adapted for all ages. Children as young as three years old can be taught to play the game, although the throwing line will need to be closer to the ladder to accommodate their size. Even though it is a game that young children can play, adults have a great time playing it too. And it is transportable, so even if you wanted to take it to the park you could. It is the nature of the game and the beauty of its simplicity that makes it so universally appealing to everyone, and so easy to incorporate into an event.

If you are having a children's outdoor party, you can set up a ladder golf game somewhere in the yard. If the children are very young, you can just let them play it whenever they like. There is no reason to schedule actual games for young children; they are too easily distracted and without constant adult supervision they cannot sustain an actual game for too long. Simply remind them to take turns and let them make up their own ladder golf rules at the party. They'll have a blast.

If you're having a party for older kids or adults, you could set up an actual ladder golf tournament with prizes for the winners. This game is easy enough yet fun enough to keep people entertained for hours while they try to prove who is the best. The party doesn't necessarily have to revolve around the game, although it can be a fun way to invite people over. Sending them an invitation to a ladder golf tournament where food and drinks are provided is a great way to let people know that they'll be having a good time.
