The alpha hydroxy acids, when left on the faceand neck for a prescribed period of time, will burn off the first few layers ofepidermis. This allows the body to become stimulated to produce the cellsnecessary to create collagen and elastin to repair the damaged epidermis. Aslong as the brown marks are not in the dermal layers (under the epidermis), thepeel should remove them.
