Losing Cellulite: The Most Efficient Methods

Cellulite represents the dimples that show on the back of the thighs and the buttocks as we advance in age or weight. Over 30 years of age, women start to develop cellulite and, despite the research that has been undertaken so far, no one knows what causes cellulite and how to cure it for good. Still, you can try one of these efficient methods to minimize the effect.

Cellulite is pretty much related to weight gain, so losing cellulite is related to losing weight. As structure, cellulite is composed of fat cells, so, if you reduce the number of fat cells in your body, then you will get less cellulite. Studies show that women lose five pounds of muscles during ten years, while they gain fifteen pounds of fat. Because the skin gets thinner with age, you will be able too see the fat cells more clearly. You will be able to lose some of the fat if you have a healthy diet and you keep the body hydrated.

Because cellulite is a result of fat accumulation, exercise will help you replace the fat cells with muscles. Exercise every day; try some cardio, strength and stretching to reduce the effects of cellulite.

Cardio exercises do not have to exceed two minutes of some walking, cycling or some stair climbing in the first phase. Then, for eight minutes, you will have to increase the intensity, up to the point when you will feel that your breathing has become difficult. The cardio exercises must be followed by two minutes of cooling down.

The cardio must be followed by fifteen minutes of strength exercises. It is best to focus these exercises on the area that needs it, like your thighs when we talk about cellulite. Some leg lifts with weights attached to the ankles will do you good. If you want to concentrate on getting rid of the cellulite on your buttocks, lunges and squats with ankle weights are much recommended.

For making the exercising more effective, you must improve your flexibility. Stretching exercises will help you achieve more length and flexibility in your muscles and lower the risk of injury. You can achieve great results if you increase the exercise routine over time, as you will be able to build more muscles and strength.

You may have heard of other methods that claim to reduce the cellulite on your body, like creams. But this is not based on reality, and no cream has proven to be effective so far. You can use some tan spray, but that will only mask the cellulite, without fighting against it in any way. You can also try laser treatment and liposuction, but the effect will be only temporary.

You will have to invest some time and effort into getting rid of cellulite. You will have to eat healthy and exercise, but your efforts will get rewarded.
