Make Me Rich - Having the Right Attitude

Often when we fantasize about having a lot of money, we wish that we could simply walk up to someone who is already wealthy and say "make me rich!" Then we fantasize that these people will simply show us the easy steps to wealth and we will then join their ranks. Of course we know that it isn't that easy. Though it does seem like some people fall into money, the fact is that if they don't know how to handle it, they will lose it eventually. When we say "make me rich", we have to say it to ourselves, and then we have to find a way to not only make the money, but also we have to learn to live with it so that we continue to thrive.

When you say to yourself "make me rich", you are giving yourself the responsibility of providing your own wealth. This is good, since you can't expect anyone else to do it for you. You should start with some type of plan, and then follow the plan faithfully, adjusting when and where you need to. Part of this plan should be to study what other successful people did to get where they are today, and how they continually grow in their wealth. Don't just study the actual tasks that they performed, but their attitudes as well. To say to yourself "make me rich" should also be to say "make me act like a rich person."

In your demand to yourself to "make me rich", you need to strive to adopt the attitude that you not only deserve the wealth you are after, but that it is your right. You need to look at yourself as someone who doesn't "have" wealth, but someone who "is" wealthy, and you need to see yourself this way even before you feel you have made it. If you don't believe that you are a wealthy person, then no matter how much money you attain you will end up back where you started.

Follow your wealth plan carefully and adopt the attitude of a wealthy person, but never forget to give back. If all that wealth ever really does for you is make you greedy and selfish, then it is really not worth it. Be charitable as you are becoming wealthy and after you have attained that goal, and never forget that your relationships with other people are far more important than how much money you have in the bank. When you tell yourself "make me rich", make sure that it encompasses not only money, but spiritual and emotional wealth as well.
