Make Your Own Beaded Door Curtains

Making beaded door curtains for a doorway in your home is an easy job to accomplish. You will need the necessary tools, and should choose larger beads, so that you will not need as many to get the job done. You can make a door curtain out of bead for any doorway in your home that you would like. Wether you want to make the curtain to fit a child's bedroom door, the door leading to the den, or maybe even to a craft room that you have in your home, you will find that making something so stunning is not very hard to do.

The first thing that you will need to do, is measure that door width that you are wanting to hang your beaded door curtain into. Next you will determine how far apart you are wanting to places the strands of beads, so that it comes off as a door and a curtain at the same time. If you place your bead strands too far apart, your finished project will not look right. Also be sure that you determine how long you want the beaded door curtain to hang. Wether you want it to graze the floor, or hang one foot above the floor is up to you. This will determine how long you will cut your cording.

Once you have done all of your measuring, you will then be ready to go shopping for your beads, and cording. Make sure that you have determined how many yards of cording you are going to need. Once you have chose the size of beads that you want for your beaded door curtain, you can then decide how far apart you want to place them, and how many beads you will need for each strand of cording that you are going to use. Also, you will want to be sure that the cording that you choose will fit through the hole in the center of your beads. This will ensure that your beads will be easy to thread, and if you choose cording that is too thin, you will need to allow for knots to be tied in it after each bead, to ensure that they do not fall down to the bottom of the cording.

Now you are all ready to go home and get started beading your cording for your beaded door curtain. This will be the fun part because you will get to place the colors just as you want them, as you thread the beads onto your cording.

Once you have all of the cording threaded, you will be ready to hang your beaded door curtain. A staple gun will work just fine, and you will be able to staple each strand of beaded cording individually as you decide where you will place them.

As you can see, making a beaded door curtain is not complicated. You will love the fact that you made a project for your home decor. If you are making this for a child's bedroom door, you can get them to help thread the beads, as well as pick them out. They will love helping in this project.
