Male Hair Removal For Bodybuilders: How To Do It Right

Any bodybuilder knows how much of a hassle is to try to remove the hair from all your body. Unfortunately for those that dislike this part, there is no actual escape from it and, in competitions, hair removal is a must. There are methods, though, that can make the procedure less annoying, and we will show them right away.

To last

For those that want to get rid of the hair on their bodies for good, there are permanent methods that can be used. There are actually just two such methods: the one involving laser technology and the one involving electrolysis. If you want to do something like that, you should know that these procedures are very expensive; on the other hand, you will get rid of your body hair for good.

See for yourself which methods you can apply for different parts of the body.

The hair on the face, like on the chin, or the cheeks, or the upper lip, can be temporarily removed by shaving.

As you well know, the hair on the back of the neck can be pretty visible, so you can get rid of it by shaving it or clipping it carefully.

On the chest, waxing is recommended, but so is shaving or the use of depilatory creams. Shaving is the least recommended of all, as it can lead to serious irritations of the skin, once the hair starts growing again, and to other complications, such as ingrown hairs. This means that you should use shaving all the time, if you started with it.

The area very close to the nipples is very sensitive, so a different approach is necessary. Tweezing is the recommended procedure and it goes something like this: the skin is stretched a little, and the hairs are caught carefully, close to the skin and slowly pulled outside. Do not use any brisk movements, as you will break the hairs.

Most part of the body, like on the shoulders, back, arms, hands and belly, can be best become hair free, if you use waxing. Sugaring is also a preferred method. After waxing, just take a shower to cleanse the skin, and the risk of acne will be decreased.

Another sensitive area of the body is the armpits. Here, shaving is one of the most convenient methods, but it requires a lot of attention, so all the hairs are removed. Waxing or sugaring can be also used, but depilatory creams are absolutely out of the question, as the chemical compounds they have can cause damage to the skin. After shaving, avoid the use of cosmetic products on the skin, or your skin will get irritated.

In time, your skin will get used to shaving; you will be able to use some petroleum jelly instead of shaving foam and that will help you get a smooth and pleasant shave of the area. For the bikini line or pubic area, shaving can be applied, after you trimmed the hairs shorter. Some waxing can help and so sugaring, as well.

For the genital area, it is recommended to use a new wet razor. Shaving must be done carefully in order to prevent any cuts from happening.

For the anus and the perineum, never use depilatories, as they will cause serious irritations to the sensitive skin there. Here shaving is not so much appreciated, because the hairs that will grow afterwards will also cause irritations. Waxing and sugaring are the preferred solutions.

For the legs, feet and toes, waxing and sugaring are the best methods, as shaving will cause the hair to grow back stronger after only a little while.
