There is no doubt about it that New York has seen a tremendous amount of activity in the last month. With the anniversary of 9/11, the happenings with the 2008 Presidential Elections, and the recent economic crisis stemming from wall street. All of these issues have been keeping not only New York City on their feet but the rest of the world as well. These are the obvious issues that are flooding the front page of our newspapers, television screens, and the main topic at the water coolers. However, with all of this uproar we might not realize the effects these events have on other very important topics as well. Medical malpractice in the Bronx, for example is a huge epidemic that is sweeping the country. In late summer the government put a freeze on medical malpractice insurance so that they could fully address the situation and come up with a plan of action without having to worry about medical malpractice insurance premiums arising.

There is so much going on with our economy today, it is easy to forget about some issues that were prevalent before of the chaos happened. However the reality is that these issues have become more important as people have been placing less importance on them. It turns out that the economic process has out the medical malpractice insurance freeze on the back burner as the government is trying to fix all of the problems on wall street. It is very easy to forget these issues because it seems like on the face that they are far less important. However it turns out that these issues become more important as we forget them because they are multiplying and affecting more businesses and industries than we know. The fact of the matter is that medical malpractice in the Bronx was starting to decrease, however now that the proper attention is not being placed on this issue, instances are starting to occur again. When the freeze was first instigated, medical professionals knew that they were being watched, and watched hard. However now that less attention is being placed on this matter they are going back to their old ways. When the freeze is unfrozen in June, there better be a very good plan in place or else this whole time was wasted.

In order for reform to be put back in the medical industry, whoever wins the 2008 presidential election needs to step in an put their foot down. Many people are putting their programs and reforms on hold till the new president takes office. However if we wait this long it might be too late. For if a sound and quality reform is not implemented then we are back at square one, dealing with many instanced of medical malpractice in the Bronx. If you have been hurt by an act of medical malpractice in the Bronx, contact a lawyer as soon as possible. Don't let others take over your life and file a medical malpractice Bronx claim today.
