Motivational Speeches are Speeches with a Difference
|
Such speeches can, of course, cover a multitude of subjects. They can motivate your audience to join a dramatic society, learn to scuba dive or paint the town red. Such speeches can influence people in many ways. They may be motivated to get walking or conduct more effective business meetings. It could motivate people to keep calm and reduce stress or to overcome jealousy. Different people give such speeches. Motivational speeches, for instance, are part and parcel of the work of sports’ coaches and teachers often have a use for them. Naturally too a boss may often have cause for such speeches to motivate his staff to sell more or even to produce more. Military speeches are normally motivational in tone. They speak of honour, glory, duty and the cause. They urge soldiers to fight for their country or to be good representatives for it abroad Flag Day is a day when such speeches are a must. Very many political speeches would be motivational too. In such speeches the politician would urge his audience to vote for him. If he made the Cabinet, the Senate or Congress he would be urging his fellow statesmen and women to vote for certain bills. Speeches can evoke memories, entertain or enthral. They can make people take a fresh look at themselves and what they do. Speeches can also be informative and an audience can go home saying, "I never knew that" Speeches can make you feel good, for example when you are at a function to support a charity. They can also make you feel bad, when you hear about the starving or the homeless for example. A good speaker can make an audience laugh or cry or both. Motivational speeches show your audience how they can improve their own lives or the lives of others in some way. Such speeches have to be informative, sincere and inspiring and show your audience the possibilities available if they only do as you suggest.
