Muscle Milk Protein - The Basics

One of the muscle building protein supplements that is on the market today is Muscle Milk Protein Drinks. This product has been specially formulated to improve your body's ability to burn fat, metabolize protein into muscle, and to help your muscles recover from strenuous exercise. This is a moderately priced nutritional supplement that is usually priced under $45 per container.

First Muscle Milk Protein comes in a large variety of flavors. In addition to the regular flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, this product also comes in a variety of designer flavors. These designer flavors include: banana, blue berry, chocolate peanut, chocolate banana chip, chocolate mint chip, cookies and cream, cream brulee, egg nog, mocha, orange, peach mango, pina colada, pineapple banana, and rocky road.

In addition to coming a variety of flavors this product also comes in two different forms. The first form that it is sold in is a dry powder mix. With the mix you will need to add the powder to water or milk to create a protein drink. The mix gives you the option of adding it to whatever liquid or food product that you want. For example you can make a shake, or you can add the powder to juice to create a smoothie, add it to yogurt for added flavor and nutrients, or you can even add it to baked goods for added nutrition and flavor. The second form that Muscle Milk comes in is pre-mixed protein drinks. The pre-mixed protein drink comes in cans. This makes them easy to carry with you to the gym, to work, or even to the beach.

Muscle Milk has 348 calories per serving. Each serving also contains 8 grams of saturated fat, 3mg of cholesterol, 200 mg of sodium, 3 mg of cholesterol, 595 mg of potassium, 12 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of dietary fiber, 6 grams of sugars, and 32 grams of protein. Each serving also contains 33 percent of the daily recommended allowance of vitamins A, C, D, and E. The protein source for this product is the patented EVOPRO. This protein formulation is intended to replicate the amino acids found in mother's milk and it includes: micellar alpha caseins, beta caseins, caseinates, whey concentrates, alpha-lactalbumin, whey isolates, whey peptides, purified bovine colostrum extract, Lactoferrin, glutamine peptides, L-taurine, secrotroy IgA and IGF-1.

To prepare the mix for drinking it is recommended that you use two heaping scoops of the mix with 10 to 12 fluid ounces of water. If you prefer a creamier drink then you can use skim, 1 percent, or 2 percent milk. To utilize the drink's natural energy generating capabilities you should drink it at least thirty minutes before exercising. You can also drink it during your workout. If you do this you will also want to drink Cytomax to flush your system with muscle growth nutrients and to protect your muscles from acids in your system. Finally you can drink this protein supplement after your workout to stimulate muscle synthesis and prevent muscle degeneration.
