New Sony blu-ray media

The Sony electronics has developed the BWU-300S 3rd generation of the internal blu-ray disk writer. The new and advanced blu-ray writer form Sony has the technology to burn both single & dual layer blu-ray media at high speed of 8X.This new Sony model has fast speed and therefore, can record disk of 25 GB in 15 min and disk of 50 GB in half an hour time. The data recording speed of 8X is achieved by the use of the 6X compatible blu-ray media. The Sony's drive has the ability to record the compact disks up to 48X, and up to 16X the DVDs. DVD-RAM recording can also be done using the Sony drive.

This Sony drive provides all the features and advantages of the blu-ray technology and is the best alternate for the standard DVD drive. This drive also has the “CyberLink's software suite" which helps to capture, edit, burn, view and author the HD personal content. The 8X drive of Sony has improved and enhanced recording speed of BD, which is the most powerful feature of the optical storage. The disk player also has port for external flash memory. Sony BDP-S5000ES has “quick start mode" enhances the boot up time to approx. 6 seconds.
