Old Soul: It Takes One To Know One
|
Among the traits that can help you evaluate if you are an old soul or not are the following:- the need to care for others;- a romantic life filled with departures and disappointments;- a troubled family life;- jealousy;- people around you tend to develop strong feelings about you, either bad or good;- a lot of creativity;- an innate inability to perceive outer events as separated from one's life, as well as others. Reading all these, you may find yourself recognizable in one situation or the other, but how can you tell your own soul's age? Simply said, a young soul is one that always makes unfulfilled promises, that never gives, but takes. An old soul is passed this age of egoism and enters another stage, where things are totally different. How to evaluate the age of one's soul We all live a personal adventure all our lives. Our souls travel with us and change with us depending on the events that mark our existence. While a soul can focus just on the material things, others may try to reach a higher level of existence. What happens to us every day will be returned to us in a form or another, according to the rule of the karmic boomerang, that determines interactions between events beyond what we think we control. Such events will shape the form of our souls, determining changes and aging the soul. An old soul would be a soul that got through a lot in life, that developed a higher conscience. Being an old soul may seem like a single business, as it will be hard sometimes to just watch the others around that still believe that are still in control without knowing much about the world around them. The soul we have travels through different planes of existence, learning from past experiences, and it goes towards a higher plane of existence, after collecting our earthly experiences. As the soul passes through more and more planes of existence, it becomes older and older and richer on a spiritual level. Who's your soulmate A young soul will always challenge an old soul through its incapacity to relate to the higher plane of existence the old soul has reached. Encounters between young souls and old souls many times result in hurt and confusion. Usually, a soulmate is one that is as old as you, because a young soul will find it hard to live up to the spiritual expectations. The difference between the ages of the souls coming into contact may seem hurtful, as you may feel like you like someone a lot, that you love them, but without reaching a common ground with them. A young soul still needs to make the same mistakes, before getting to a higher level of spirituality and that is why for an old soul, it would be impossible to find a soulmate in a young soul. Always search for a soul that is the same age as you. About The Author: Visit www.articleclick.com for additional article contributions by Pearle Tsuji. |
