There are too many lies to keep straight when you do. Be straight forward about everything. Things will go much smoother as a relationship develops. 3) Dress To Impress! Wherever you decide to go, look your best. No, you don't always have to wear your Sunday best, but look presentable. You may want to ask how he or she will be dressing so you don't look like complete opposites. Guys, make sure the haircut is on point and the footwear looks good. Nothing worn down. Women, make sure that you have everything together so that you too can make a memorable first impression. Make sure that hair is done and nails are polished and looking cute. Also, make sure you put on the "smell-goods". 4) Don't Be Cheap! One thing women hate is someone that is extremely tight on the dollar and displays it on the first date. Nothing wrong with being frugal. Just make sure you don't over do it. 5) Ask Questions! Be sure to ask about everything you want to know about. What they like to do, where they live, were they ever married, etc. This will at least give you a running start. Some people never want to reveal too much, but it never hurts to at least ask.
