Did you know that you can double your income through proper use of the World Wide Web--without even having your own website? You can, and you can do it with very little investment of time or money as well.

Today's socially-driven web is powered by sites like Facebook, Blogger, and even YouTube which keep us connected and talking about what we love, hate, and need. Here are three ways to double your income by joining in on these conversations.

1. Make a video for YouTube. Video is a powerful medium that more and more online marketers have started to use after testing and seeing how video marketing can increase their incomes. But you don't have to be a professional marketer to market yourself.

And you don't have to be a marketer yourself in order to take advantage of YouTube's marketing properties. All you need to do is make a video of you talking about the product or service that you offer, and then spread the word about it.

This video could be as simple as reading the sales copy from a brochure or other sales material about your company. Plenty of people do this over and over again--because it works!

You might also want to explain how to use a product that you offer, or explain some little-known information about your field. You can even give commentary about the latest news in your industry if you want.

You don't need a fancy camera for this, either. A relatively cheap camera, between one and two hundred dollars, is just fine. Ironically enough, it's actually more important to make sure your camera has good sound quality rather than video quality. The words you say will be your most important selling factors, so make sure those words will be clearly understood!

2. Become (more) active on Facebook. Facebook is the largest web-based social network on the planet--so why not use it to contact potential clients and customers? The market on Facebook is more than large enough for you to double your income if you use it right.

And how do you use it right? There are several ways. You can integrate it with YouTube by posting your videos in your updates or on your wall (or other people's walls, when appropriate). You can post comments about news in your business or industry.

Last, but certainly not least, you should always search for people in your field and even in related or complimentary fields. Even if you don't get extra business from them, you'll expand your range of knowledge and enjoy yourself in the process. But just like with any networking activity, it's a pretty good bet that you'll get more business as well.

3. Read and comment on blogs in your field. It's a good idea to read blogs in your field for the simple fact that it's the single best way to keep abreast of the latest developments (industry journals just aren't as timely as they used to be).

Leaving comments is a great way to give yourself a little free publicity while opening up to conversations with bloggers and their readers. Keep in mind that this technique is even more likely to double your income if you have a blog of your own for others to comment on as well!
