Opportunities For Making A Freelance Living

This article aims to set out some of the types of job that are currently carried out by freelancers around the world, however please bear in mind that this is not an exhaustive list and so don't be put off if you don't see your ideal career listed here.

Admin & Secretarial

If you have any kind of reception experience, or an ability to type quickly, then you might be cut out for offering freelance secretarial services. This could be in the form of appointment booking, or perhaps in transposing dictated notes. Often these activities can be carried out from your home address, with only a computer, phone line and Internet connection required.

Creative freelancers

If you have a creative employment background, or perhaps a passion for photography in your spare time, then there may be a creative freelance role available for you. As a photographer, you could find work photographing anything from weddings to stories for the local newspaper. Or maybe you have a flair for interior design, which you could put to good use working on freelance projects?

Information Technology

The very nature of IT means that it is often very suitable to be carried out freelance, because issues can usually be resolved remotely from anywhere with an Internet connection. Professional freelancers

For people with a specific professional background, perhaps as a solicitor or an accountant, there will always be companies who are looking for advice on contracts or for someone to review the accounts.
