Outdoor Water Fountains For Your Yard Dcor

Today ones exterior dcor is just as important as the interior dcor. In fact our outdoor space has become an integral part of our living space. Adding outdoor water fountains to your yard dcor will certainly not go unnoticed.

And what a great way to relax. Fountains that are strategically placed can create an tranquil environment so after that terribly stressful day you an simply pull up a piece of grass and sit by your fountain.

Cant you feel the muscles beginning to relax? The birds chirping, the sound of the water flowing, and the warm sun beating on your back suddenly you feel refreshed, re-energized, and ready to face the world again. Your fountain is better than a visit to the local stress therapist.

If you arent sure how to achieve that relaxed atmosphere check out some of the many sites online that are full of helpful ideas for creating a tranquil feng shui atmosphere.

If you have a natural ability to understand how things must flow to create the right relaxed atmosphere then have some fun and get busy.

You can choose from concrete or man made resins and plastics and you can choose anywhere from two feet to six feet in height with three to four feet being the most commonly used sizes.

Concrete is a little more costly but it will last forever and it is strong and sturdy. That said it is more difficult to move around because of the weight. Man made materials and plastics are much lighter and generally cheaper too. They will usually last only a few years before they become brittle from the suns rays but they are light enough that anyone can move them around.

Dont forget to incorporate plants that are native to your area. They help create that atmosphere. Have you ever walked into a rain forest? Do you recall how after only a few minutes all the stress in your muscles seemed to melt away? Well adding the right plants to your space can create that same relaxed feelings.

Incorporate shrubs and hedges for privacy as well as other native greenery. Dont forget to take advantage of the summer months for beautiful flowers that bloom. Color can instantly lift ones mood. Remember there are also spring and fall flowers that you can plant so that your outdoor space has color for most of the year.

You can choose cherubs, fishing boys, angels, Japanese style fountains, frogs, pumps, mosaics, and a host of other styles so you are limited only by your imagination.

Maintenance on your fountain includes adding fresh water, and regularly checking the hoses and the pump. Generally adding a little water would be your biggest chore. You will need to clean algae out of your fountain regularly. You can add a capful of bleach to help kill the algae.
