Ozaukee Bank - Another Merger

Ozaukee Bank, an institution that has always put a big emphasis on community, has merged with Community Bank Group. Based in Wisconsin, Ozaukee has always been a popular community bank. With the merger, brought about by Harris Bank which will be the owner of the merged banks, customers of Ozaukee Bank have been hoping to get the same type of service they have always enjoyed. The name will be gone, however, as will the Community Bank Group name, and all of the branches will now carry the Harris Bank name. Of course, some changes are inevitable, but customers have been hoping that they will mostly be for the good.

One of the changes Ozaukee Bank customers have to deal with is the change in checks. This is really not a problem, since whenever a one bank takes over another bank, they will usually honor any checks that have been written with the old bank name, until those checks have run out. As an alternative to this, the bank that has taken over will sometimes issue new checks to their customers with the new bank name on it, without a charge for the first time. The Ozaukee Bank customers also use the online services just like before, until such a time as Harris Bank makes an official change. When there are mergers and acquisitions, the bank that is taking over tries to do as much as it can to help customers with the transition so that they won't lose valuable customers.

Ozaukee Bank customers have been weathering the transition rather well. In fact, they have been enjoying the new advantages that Harris Bank has had to offer them. There were going to be a lot more locations, as well as many more available ATM's from which to draw money without any service charges. All of the Harris ATM's would be available, as well as the Ozaukee and Community Bank Group ATM's. Harris Bank made sure to let all customers know this.

All loan rates and terms made with Ozaukee Bank continued when Harris Bank took over. Of all the concerns that Ozaukee customers had, these were some of the most common. Not only will they be able to keep the same rates on current loans, but they will have access to more loan services, and more banking services in general. With all of the Harris Bank technology, customers will see a lot of good come out of the merger.
