Permanent Eye Make Up: The Procedure

For many women, the routine of doing their make up, every single morning, before going to work, may become quite a boring and tedious job. Do you still want to look great, but without having to wake up two hours earlier, just to put on mascara, eye liner and to satisfy all your cosmetic needs? There is a solution, and it is called permanent eye make up.

A word of advice is necessary, in case you opt to permanent eye make up. You need to know a little bit more before jumping into doing something that will last for quite some time. Permanent eye make up is also called micropigmentation and it is more like getting a tattoo, which, as you may well know, lasts for a long time. This is not something that you will just wake up one morning and decide that you do not like it anymore and you want to change. There are, basically, three procedures that can be applied to your eyes: your lashes can be dyed, your eyebrow can be penciled and you can get your eyelids decorated with eyeliner, so you do not have to do all this stuff. Despite the term 'permanent', this look will stay with you for about four to ten years; still, as this is a lot of time, you need to consider whether you want the procedure done or not. In order to make things clearer for you, we suggest to do research online and see what other women, that have done it, have to say on forums or newsgroups. See what their recommendations are and decide what is best for you.

Finding a good place to apply your permanent eye make up will require a lot of consideration. Search for a cabinet online, or ask your friends if they know of a reliable place. Before going there, consult your dermatologist regarding your deciding. If all is set and you are decided, then it is time to schedule a consultation.

Remember that you will need to go to the cabinet without having any make up applied on your face. The procedure is not very complicated, but it will take several hours. For an eyeliner procedure, you will need to spend two hours in the cabinet. Anesthesia will be applied on the area that will be affected, so you will not feel much pain.

The first impression after the procedure is finished will not be that good. Your eyes will look red and swollen, and the make up will look very dark. Do not worry too much. In a few days, the color of make up will fade to the desired tone and, if you apply some cold press on the eyes, they will not be so swollen. Also, you will need to wear sunglasses when you go out, into bright sun, to avoid fading.

The best thing about permanent eye make up is that you will save those extra hours for putting on make up each day.
