As you’re purchasing that brand new pool table, there are some accessories you will need to go with it. Some people just get the table, cue and balls and they think that’s all they need. They wait until they really need them to buy them. Sometimes it may not be that easy, especially if the items are out of stock. You should try to purchase what you need up front when you get the pool table. A pool table is not a cheap investment, nor should it be. Having the accessories to go with it is key to making it a success. A pool cue stand is something that you will need when you purchase a pool table. In the back of your mind, you may think that this is not a necessity, but when you really look at it, you will end up needing one. You will need something for storage of your cues. In the beginning, it might be ok to store them in a case, but after awhile you will get tired of taking them out of the case and putting them back in. When you have guests that want to play, you want to have the cues ready and accessible within a matter of minutes. They should be right at your disposal. Having a pool cue stand will eliminate the tedious task of going back and forth. When purchasing a pool cue stand, think about how much you want to spend for one. They can range from approximately $70 on up to around a few hundred. The more quality it has, the more it may cost. You may be able to find some quality ones at reasonable prices. You can find these in brick and mortar billiard stores and online billiard retailers. Don’t concern yourself with the extras, such as décor, colors and designs. This will add to the cost of the item. If you are on a budget, stick to the price range that you are committed to. Some stands can hold eight, ten or twelve cues at once. You may want to take measurements at your home and with the stand to make sure there is enough room to place it. Even if you can get a nicer one at a higher price, you have to have the space in order for it to fit properly. When you measure the area prior to purchasing, you will know what size to get in order for it to fit comfortably. So whatever you decide to get make sure that it is the right size. In addition to that, you want it to blend in with your game room décor. It’s important to have something like that so you can have easy access when you’re playing pool.
