Porsche 928 History



The Porsche 928 was a very popular model in the Porsche line. In fact from 1978 right through to 1995 this was the model that people were talking about. This was the model that was constantly in demand.

This was a 2 door coupe that had great lines! It was sleek and stylish and caught everyone's attention. It screamed luxury and it also cost a pretty penny. It was not only one of the fastest cars on the road it was also one of the most expensive cars on the market.

The late 1960s saw Porsche reveal itself with a new look and feel from the earlier days. In fact there had not only been big changes to the company there had been quite a shake up in the executive too. And with shake ups come new idea. There were a variety of changes that occurred over the years.

Porsche claimed the 928 was the fastest legal street car on the market.

1985:Engine displacement 5.0 L32 Valves288 hp3500 pound weightThe 5.0 Liter 32 valve 288 hp engine was introduced and the new style front seat was a big improvement in comfort and look. Top speed now exceeds 155 mph.

When it came to performance the 928 was a predictable car a powerful engine that allowed it to outperform many other Porsches on the market and the Porsche 928 history is also rather intriguing.
