If the power tool is too heavy or too big to handle then you should find another one that suits you even if it means a sacrifice in power of the power tools. The biggest cause of injuries when using power tools is that most users do not bother reading the manuals. Most power tool injuries are caused because the user may try to make the power tool do something that it was not meant to do. Not only will it not save you time, but also the quality of the work will suffer greatly from the using the wrong tools. Also unless you are trained to use the power tool, you should read up on the manuals to know what the not to dos are before using that power tool. Safety is not all about you but also the people around you as well, so when you are repairing or cleaning your power tools you should make sure you don't leave the tools unintended. As children may get their hands on them and may severely injure themselves. One of the best safety precautions for all power tools users or anyone that uses tools at all is to keep your work area clean. Many injuries could be easily prevented if their work area was clean, such as no tools or lumber being left all over the floor. Also keeping it clean is not the only thing, but keeping the area dry can help as will. When the work area is dry there will be no danger of slipping or even getting electrical shock from using power tools. The work area should also be wired properly so that there won't be any sparks created that can ignite anything flammable. The area's wiring will have to endure a heavy electrical load from the power tools usage. Make sure the work area is equipped with all the safety equipment such as first aid kits and such.
